Have an '85 Force 125 with an exhaust leak that suffocates the engine at idle/low speeds. Leak is coming from the small rubber boot leading to the prostate holes (sorry, they aren't really pee holes).

Anyone have any suggestions on replacing it? It looks simple if you have tiny hands...

I can se how it is connected to the engine, but not sure how it attaches to the outside holes.

Thanks,
Mic

Re: Replacing 125 Force Exhaust Boot

Remove the back of the exhaust housing. A few bolts on each side from the front and a few under the hood. The bellows is held on the exhaust chamber with a spring clamp and there's a spring inside the bellows that presses it against the cover you'll be removing. All you'll need is a 7/16" socket, ratchet, and long extension, and a pliers. If you try to do it without removing the back cover...I don't think there are enough cuss words in the English language! 10 minute job if the bolts come out without breaking.
