My flywheel has a few teeth missing. And while I don't mind that in a cousin, it does bug me on my boat.

So I've bought a used flywheel with good teeth. Now is this a simple swap without having to deal with the timing or will this swap through my timing out. The motor is running well at this point (except for starting trouble if I land on the missing teeth) and I'd like to do this as easily as possible.

I've got and will read the manual, but just looking for insight tips etc.

Simple swap. The flywheel key will insure that it is properly aligned for proper timing. I'd make sure the new flywheel bore and the matching crankshaft taper are extremely clean before reapplying the flywheel. Also, be sure to torque to proper service manual specs.
