I'm trying to replace the tilt motor on my Yamaha 90 horse, there's only 3 bolts, got two of them out, but can't get to the 3rd one anybody have any suggestions or is there a special tool I need to get the last bolt out?

Not sure about your 90 but on my C40TLRX I locked the motor in the up position and pulled the top pin. This allowed the unit to tilt out away from the transom just a little and gave access to the back bolt. If that does not help you may have to pull the whole unit off.

Not sure what you're talking about as far as the top pin goes. There's 4 bolts through the motor bracket going into the tilt/trim assembly, looks like I can maybe take the top 2 out and loosen the bottom 2 and it might tilt a little. Tried it already and it didn't budge, didn't put a lot of force on it though.

Yea, i just looked at a part breakdown of that unit and it is bolted directly to the motor bracket while mine pivots on the bottom pin. Looks like you will need to pull whole thing. What does your manual say about pulling the T&T motor?
