I have a 16' 79' Sailfish and am wanting to replace the bilge vinyl/plastic drain hole with one of those aluminum/metal ones (forget the name). Anyways, how do I remove the drain hole? It's not screwed in or anything. I'm wondering if they just 4200/5200 the side cavity to the hull? If so, how do I go about removing the old one?

Personally I'd mutilate it with a pair of pliers and a big screwdriver.

Start by knocking in the flanged end towards it's own middle opening,
then usually by gripping it with vise-grips or whatever you can twist
the seal apart and pull to remove...be sure to check both ends as you
don't wan't to try pulling the other flanged end thru the opening.

5200 is your best choice {imo} when it comes time to reinstall. It also requires
a special tool to flange the 'smooth' end of the replacement one once installed.

Edit: I see EZ typed the shortened version LOL
