Replacing cables

Going to replace shift and throttle cables on a 99 evinrude 150 ficht are there any special adjustments or just get them back in the same place they are now since they weren't broken? Thanks!

If possible,tie the new cables to the old ones so you put the new ones in place while you remove the old ones.
