Replacing Captains Seat Pedestal

The captains seat is really wobbly on a boat I'm helping a friend with. I haven't measured the base yet as the boat is in the shop for repairs. My question is, are the base hole pattern dimensions universally standard? Are the nuts below the deck t'nuts? I'm trying to anticipate any problems replacing the pedestal base. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Ayuh,... Nothin' Standard that I've seen....

Is the deck rotten around the fasteners,..??

If ya can double up or better the plywood, you can go with lag type screws...

Not sure if this is what you had in mind but this is what another iBoater did.

You could then use t-nuts, lag screws or what ever.;)
