replacing cleats

I HAVE AN 1987 FORESTER CUTTY CABIN THAT I AM RESTORING. THE CLEATS ARE WORN AND LOOSE, AND FILLED WITH CAULK, AS ARE SOME OF THE BOW RAILING.CAN SOMEONE TELL ME THE BEST WAY TO REPLACE THEM,IE: THE EASIEST WAY TO BOLT THEM DOWN SECURLY? HOW DO I GET AT THE BACK? THANKS.

thanks for doing a search for me, its useful information. one other question, how hard is it to get behind the cabin upholstry,so i can get blocks of wood back there to bolt to?<br /> thanks again, mark
