Is there a method for replacing a cutlass bearing while the shaft is still installed. In the past I used a hydraulic pump with the proper size 2 piece coupler to force the bearing out. I would like to do this in my yard. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks.

There is a tool for it as well as 2 piece couplers. Sorry, I don't know the name of it. There is also a newly developed setup that allow 2-3 couplers to be preinstalled on the shaft and you simply drive the old one one and slide the new one in. Can also be done while in the water.

Do a little more research online and I'm sure you can find the information. Good luck.

Thanks Fireman....I do recall the 2 piece bearing you are speaking of and I will look it up. Good day! :)
