Greetings, I need to replace the floor in my 1996 Larson boat. The boat is in great shape, both motor and hull, however the floor is soft in a few spots. Does anyone have pics or diagrams on how to do this? The floor is very soft near the walkway to the bow. The bow has a fiberglass floor and is connected to the entire boat. How do I get the floor to under the bow? has anyone done this before and do you have pics?

You will need to remove the cap of the boat, this means removal of the rubrail and taking out all of the screws underneath, disconnecting all wiring going into the cap, and probably building some framework to properly support the cap for lifting off with a hoist.

Then you get to look forward to removing everything else inside the boat and tearing up the carpet and old flooring, be prepared to replace stringers as well, many times soft floors are tolerated for too long and by that time the stringers have been subjected to rot as well.

There are several good projects here on the site to get a good idea of what you are getting into.
