Re: replacing floor 97 glastron

Welcome aboard Tex Extreme..

There have been many re-decking posts here in the resto forum..
Try doing a "search" and put in "soft spots" or " replacing deck"

And..get used to calling that floor a deck..lol..
Bunch of ol time salty dogs on here are adamant that floors are in houses and decks be in boats..

Lots of great info here..Enjoy

Re: replacing floor 97 glastron

Don't know the specifics of the 97 glastron, but I just replaced the floor and did some stringer work on my 96 galaxie. I decided that this winters project was going to be the deal. So, I started taking all the side panels out, cut the carpet (needed replacement) along the edges and then checked the floor with a simple hammer test (dud sounds lead to rotten wood). I know what I have now. Good luck on yours.
