Replacing Floor in 1984 Lund 14" Aluminum

I ripped out the old floor (Saved it for a template) because of a few BAD soft spots. The old floor was Plywood I believe covered with Indoor/Outdoor carpet. I just wanted some Ideas on what I should use to replace it.

1) Is Plywood the best option?
2) Should I treat the plywood (Waterproof) before installing? If so with what?
3) What about the Foam that is under the floor? Do I need to do anything with it?
4) What else could I use besides the carpet to cover the floor?

Replacing your floor with ply is pretty much your only option unless you want to use an exotic such as teak, mahogany, etc. But now we're talkin' major dollars. There are a few options to waterproof the ply: use some CPES, roll on some polyester resin or go with treated ( which I don't recommend ).
The foam is there for flotation purposes. Make certain it is completely dry before laying your new floor down. I would leave it, might come in handy one day. As far as floor covering is concerned you might as well stay with some marine grade carpet. It's probably the easist material to work with, and you can change colors if you want. Painting the wood is also an option but you would want to add some non-skid into the paint. Wet fiberglassed floors are REALLY slippery !!! Good luck - have fun with your project.
