Replacing Flooring

It there really a need to replace the wood flooring or is it ok to leave the bare fiberglass, is there any drawback or will it cause any harm?

I'm confused.

Do you have wood or do you have fiberglass (it's called the "sole" if it's in the cockpit...ain't no floors on a boat!)? Rotten wood should be replaced, of course.
