While doing some painting I removed the hatch/cover over the fual tank.

I noticed that the fuel fll line looks kinda porous........

I did smell gas lasr season only when i filled up.

Doesn't look like a very easy job.

Any suggestions on making it any easier?
Where can I get the hose?
Does west marine carry it?

The boat appears to have a second hose in another compartment, for an additional tank I suppose.

Would it be advisable to use this hose or would this be in the same condition as the other?

They are both stamped 1984.

Re: Replacing fuel fill hose

I would assume that the other hose is in the same condition.

Marine fuel fill hose is standard and available at west marine, boaters world and other. Replace the clamps too.

While you are in there, you may want to replace the vent hose and the fuel feed hoses. They are probably all original and showing the same signs of aging.

Marine fuel line hoses come it 2 styles, plain ( fot straight runs with very slight bends ) & corrigated, if you have any bends, get the corrigated line,

OK, If I'm going to replace the hose, how do I access the tank? Looks like a solid wood floor on a 20 ft Caravelle I/O, 1979. If I cut, where?
