Replacing Impeller Sears p/n 26251

I have ordered the above part and will attemt installation when it arrives..This engine ,217/585880, runs great even after being in storage for over 15 years, but I figured the impeller need to be replaced due to dry rot. what type of gear lube should I use in the gear housing after the installation...Are there any other vital parts that need changing, before taking to the waterways?

Add 90 weight marine gear oil to the lower unit. If it still runs okay, change the impeller and run it.
