Replacing lower unit

I am replacing the lower unit on a 70HP Chrysler. I have the lower unit off. The sealing ring, rubber collar, and the spacer did not come down with the drive shaft. What is the easiest way to retrieve them.

It might not be too hard to remove the motor leg. There are the powerhead attaching bolts and the mount. Then it will come off. I installed the LU and motor leg as one unit by myself and it wasn't hard to do. Of course , I only have a 55.
