Replacing OMC Ignition Switch

I am in the process of replacing an engine on a friends pontoon. The pontoon now has an Evinrude 50hp and he bought a Johnson 115hp to replace it with. Both of these engines have the large red plug wiring harness. The difference, though is that the 50hp has the push-to-choke on the key, where as the 115hp has the choke on the toggle switch below the key. Can I replace the switch and toggle choke with a new switch with push-to-choke? I would just use the same harness, but the Evinrude has a console mounted throttle with the ignition in the dash. The Johnson has a control box that will mount to the rail, which is what he wants it changed to. Would I be able to just swap out the ignition switches between the two and wire the choke to the new switch, or is it more complicated than that?

YES it can be done. The only difference I see is instead of the push-to-choke on the ignition key, you will wire the toggle (momentary I hope) switch to those wires instead.

Yes, it is a momentary toggle. I was thinking I could just wire the choke to the switch in place of the toggle, I just wanted to make sure it would be that simple.
