My low oil light keeps flickering on the system check gage, however my oil reservoir for the VRO is still full. I suspect that the oil pickup unit inside of the oil reservoir may have a bad sensor. I want to replace it with a new one.

Am I going to have to re-prime the oil system to the VRO, and add additional oil to the gas tank if I replace the oil pick assembly in the oil reservoir? Or will that not be necessary since I'm not disconnecting the oil line from the VRO pump itself? I thank anyone responding in advance...

Kindest regards,

-Will in Maryland

will,

Yes, a reprime may be in order.

While you have the pick up out, replace the filter sock and clean out the tank.

You will have to pre mix at 50:1 until you verify oil useage.
