I'm tryin g to replace the telltale elbow on the block. I removed the old one with no trouble, threads are clear, but just can't seem to get the new one in place because my hand is to large, my wife tried to (very small hands) to no avail. I'd hate to pull the powerhead to replace a $2 part. Any tips or replacement trick? If not I think I might try a small bolt to block it off permanently, as I pretty sure it would be easier to get into such a tight place. Semper Paratus

I've had the same problem on the 9.9 /15's The best tech I'v ever known showed me a quick solution.. drill a hole right through the lower cowl /pan then insert the elbow using long nose pliers, after you screw it in go to the hardware store and in the section where they have all the screws, cotter keys, and stuff like that in the little slide out boxes they will have a box of plastic plug caps, several sizes & colors to choose from. looks totally factory when done. If your not cheat'n your not try'n :)
