Re: replacing the water pump on 15hp, what else should i change with lower unit off?
Can't say for certain without knowing your specific engine, but when I did my 25 HP a couple years ago, the entire water pump kit with housing and new seals and all was only like $6 more on iboats than the impeller itself because of a sale. Even without the sale, it was easy enough to replace everything and I saved so much doing it myself instead of having it done, I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I only own a boat for fishing though and only work on my engine when it breaks, so others will certainly be able to tell you if this is a good idea or not.
