Bought boat this spring, towed back home both hubs were cold, towed back and forth to lake (180miles round trip) 4 times now this last time the Starboard side wheel hub was warm to the touch while the port side was still pretty cold when i got home.

How serious is it of a job to just replace both since idk the history on these before i bought the boat and trailer.....

what about cost for bearings and races and seals????

talked to tire shop in town im looking at maybe around $100 if they do it...

Thanks

If you trust the shop spend the dough. If you dont, about e0 bucks to include a tub of grease. Plenty of threads on here. Prob dontbneed new bearings if they were cold, just a repack with new grease.

Mine are always warm never cold.

You can pull a hub off and take it to Northern Tool or Tractor Supply and they'll match it up with a new packaged hub, bearings, seals, lug nuts, etc.....each packaged unit is about $45....just pop them on and you're good to go.....and then you'll know what you've got back there while you're running 70 MPH on the highway!....you can keep your good old hub for a spare down the road....
