ok, My old winch is rusted to h***, so I'm looking to replace it besides it is a cable winch and I was always neverous of it snapping and hurting some one, So on to my question which load should I get right now it says 2500 lbs, but not sure if its overkill, or if I need to go bigger, It's a bayliner capri, 19' with a volvo penta I/O, thanks all

you should be ok with 2500. Fulton makes a very good winch.

I have been through two winches. I finally got one with gear on both sides so it doesn't pull to one side in case you have to really torque on it. My new one was like 18 dollars at Harbor Freight. Figured if I trashed this one it wouldn't worry too much about it.
