Wood on my rear hatch covers are rotted out, i got all the old wood out and I'm gonna put a new a sheet of 3/4 ply down under it, what's the best adhesive to secure it to my cover, also I'm thinking this time of putting a epoxy over it to seal it, can somebody tell me what I should use to glue the wood to the cover and how does that epoxy work to seal it, I have never used that before, thanks fellas, getting her ready for walleye in erie, hoping to have her in in the next couple weeks, floating her in a well at meinkes this year

Grind the surface with a rough grit. Just enough to scuff it and clean all the old wood off. Clamp it down with thickened resin. Then a layer of csm with polyester resin over the bare wood to seal. Good as new.
