Yesterday after checking out our pontoon boat after all that rain and high winds we had a few days ago ,I decided to remove one of the lag bolts just to see what I would need, when I put new boards on later this month. Well the bolt only had two threads on it. the rest off the bolt was rusted off. So I decided to move up the reboarding date to next week. The marina is going to lift the boat off of the trailer and when I'm done put it back on .For a cost of $150.00 .It also had about 200 gallons in it. SO I removed it with a couple of plastic hoses. After that I'm having SS disc brakes put on one of the axels.

I always wondered if you could just find another trailer and back it up to yours and just use the winch to pull the boat back on to the other trailer somehow. Just a random thought.

The marina where we keep the boat will take it off for me and I'll replace the bunks and when I'm done they will re load my boat back on the trailer. Total cost $150.00.

if you have a family member or friend that you trust to run the boat launch it & tell them to have fun, take it home reboard & go back & load it up.it takes very little time to do if you have your material.i replaced a few late last year & will do the rest very soon.

Everything is set up for this Friday. The boards are ready to go. The marina gave me until Monday to bring the trailer back. The boat is still in the winter mode .I won't be using it until next month. The water is way to cold for me to get into. I'm also going to replace the tail lights as well. Later on in the month I'm having disc brakes also put on. Just one axle.

You don't need to have the boat off to put the disc brakes and install the lights on. Just looking at ways to save some money.

Put floor jack under the equilizer between the wheels on one side of trailer.
Raise trailer up about four inches (frame, not the wheels).
Place two or three good 2x4's or 4x4's, etc. vertically from solid base on ground to underside of deck crossmembers.
Lower jack along with trailer.
Pontoon on that side is now off the bunks a couple of inches.
Reverse process and repeat on other side.
