I have a 1983 12' Valco and according to specs, the highest rated motor i can put on this boat would be 20HP. I have a deal on a nice 25HP Even-rude and i want to re-power my Valco with it. I realize that this motor is going to be heavier, but i can still be under the max weight for this boat with 2 people on board. Just how bad are the consequences if i put the 25 on?
