Repower 1988 28' Bayliner Command Bridge

Original: 260-hp Volvo stern drive.<br /><br />Current: Ford with OMC outdrive.<br /><br />Status: Engine siezed, outdrive with major electrolysis damage. Need to repower/replace with rebuilt motor and outdrive.<br /><br />Suggestions??

Twin MerCruiser 502's with Bravo III duo-props.<br /><br />Ok, maybe that's a bit of over kill...<br /><br />I'd wouldn't go smaller than a 350 c.i. and would definitely consider going back to either Volvo or MerCruiser. You might be able to find a used package somewhere...but new units can be obtained at discount also. Ya just gotta do some serious shopping around.
