Hello I am here on behalf of my boss. He is looking to re-power his 28' Marlin. He currently has a set of 225hp Johnson outboards and is looking at a set of Suzuki 300s. We know that they are 350# heavier per unit, 700# total. We also know that they will need to spread out a couple of inches across the transom.
What we need is input from the members here who have experience with changes like this. Anyone with thoughts on whether it will be worth the changes from 2 stroke to the 4 stroke motors please share them.
