repower performance question

I presently have a 24 ft Cobia with a 1992 225 hp <br />outboard on an Armstrong bracket. I can make about 30 mph at best. I plan to repower with twin 125 hp engines on a new full transom width Armstrong bracket. Even though the hp remains the same, how will having dual engines affect performance r/t speed and fuel efficiency? Thanks in advance for any help.

Its really hard to say unless you post your numbers for what you have. Top rpm and prop size to start with. As long as your speed is accurate we can calculate slip % on where you are at now.<br /><br />Think of it like looking at a map - in order to know how to get where youre going, you need to know where you are now.<br /><br />Good luck!
