I'm buying one of the camp leased motors, and replacing an '83 50hp Merc, so controls, at least 1 gauge and cables are needing a change. Looking for throttle/shift control right now... is the Yamaha 703 control the way to go or is there a better option? Oops, boat's an '84 Alumacraft Fisherman Classic console. I'm hoping I can get an analog tach with temp and oil press. warnings to warn me, but don't really want the high cost of the digital speedo and tach, wow! Found a NIB 703 on Craigs list near me and it say it comes with a cable and 10 pin plug, is that what I need? I appreciate any help anyone can offer.
