Reroute telltale hose

I have just built a box over my 50 hp johnson ( 3 sides, for noise reduction, pontoon boat )
and can not see my telltale in action . I would like to change this . Can I just extend the hose and route it where ever I want......or is this a bad idea ? :facepalm:

You can reroute the hose to squirt anywhere you want, passenges might get upset if you start playing games with a big squirt gun.

Thanks Daviet.....can i squirt it out the top of my box makin' a miniature rooster tails like one of them yammyhaw waverunners ??......or will it just dribble ?

The tell-tale is the first thing the water pump supplies water to, if your pump is in good shape it shoot water stright up with no problem. Just remember that on a windy day you may get yourself wet, angle it up and a little to the rear.

Or you could just install a water pressure gauge.
