resealing hatch glass to frame

The other day my port side hatch glass fell out of the frame. What should be used to reset the glass back into the frame? Also it's not actual glass it's apeice of 5/16 plexi-glass i think

tub and tile clear caulking (bathroom caulking/silicone)

or if you can find it the material used to seal the panes of glass in french doors

if its the original searay hatch it was probably made by taylor made, check out their web site.
