Hey guys Duff here, i am in the market to buy a 1655sc roughneck boat (welded). I absolutely love the Lowe brand, they seem strong and dependable. This boat is going to be for lake fishing, but i am new to the boating thing...so i know in my mind what i want, but i don't have any feedback on what will suffice. I was hoping i could go with the 25hp 4stroke mercury motor. Will this motor be ok on this boat?? I dont plan on racing around, enough to be efficient? And also what size gas tank would be recommended?

How r the rough necks, the guy at the dealer quoted me $11,500 plus tax on the roughneck side console including trailer, mercury 25hp motor and livewell. Seems kinda high, but i have nothing to reference it to. I plan on keeping this boat forever tho, i love the utility and functionality of it.

Also a few more questions to help me out here...anyone know about that gator skin spray on protector they offer? is it any good? they want an extra 800 bucks to do that. Or am i better off going down to get some line-x bedliner sprayed on the inside of the boat for protection. AT least i know line-x is badass stuff. The boat is for mainly me and the wife, and on occasion maybe me and 2 friends (we're big guys, total weight would be like 800 lbs). Im excited to get one, i just wanted some feedback. Thanks all!!!

Also extra info or feedback on the R1655sc or any roughnecks would be greatly appreciated.
