Restarting a stored 50 HP Mariner

My father in law just brought over his 17' Sea Nymph Striper with a 50 Mariner on it. Its been stored inside but unheated since 94. Four questions.
What is the best procedure to pre-service a stored engine and get it started?
Anybody know off hand the weight of this engine?
Who made Mariners?
Is there a power trim option available for this engine?
