I do enjoy the restoration forum one of the first sections I check when I visit. I am in the process of getting back to my current resto project as summer winds down. I am curious about some resto projects, when I redo an old boat I feel it is important to have a period correct motor. I have also learned that old motors have common problems. Is it best to post the motor restoration in the brand specific motor section or in the restoration section if it is part of a boat restoration project?

Personally, I would like to see the boat and motor restoration in the same thread. Sort of a package deal.

You can keep the motor and boat together, but if you ask motor fix-it questions answers may be a long time coming. I would ask fix-it questions in the motor section for better response.

When I did my Restoration, I posted my Get her running and tuned questions in the motor section, and the BLING pics of the motor in the Restoration section. I got all the help I could handle doing it that way.
