Greetins Gurus, My bud brought by his 7.5 merc ob, ser. number 7126605. His complaint is that when in reverse the leg jumps up. When i finally got around to puttin it under the microscope it seems the rev lock cam has a lot of play in it, its not pushing the rev lock cable far enough up to engage the lockin forks. Is this a common problem after 30 yrs of use ? And if so, does that mean tearin the whole mid section apart to fix and replace the parts ? Thks for any and all info ............Leo

Re: rev lock cam

Could be simply worn down after all this time...maybe a little bending/prying/diddling will help
