Are you wondering if you can re-enforce the hull or???
And about the prop guard-you can pick one of those up on ebay used, or buy one new. They aren't too awfaul bad expense wise...

I would like to protect the hull, and run this motor with some added protection. Is there something like a skin coat for the hull, with something added to make it tougher? and to protect the prop?. i cannot afford to upgrade to jet propulsion as i am a father of 6 on ssi, so money is a big problem.
