Reverse in 4Hp Merc 1980

Have 1980 or 81 Mercury 4 Hp. Works good. Looks like it should have reverse but not sure. Has hose connection for portable tank. Does anyone now if it should have reverse.

Mercury bought out Force so there is so a Merc Force. Not a white one but the later models.

I had a Merc 4 hp from 1978. Two stroke with tank built in. Reverse was - turn the engine around.
Man that was the best 4 hp I ever saw. Significantly faster than any other I saw. The crank broke. I think that was a problem that killed many of that model and it was discontinued eventually.

no reverse on a gnat - rotate it, the shifter is only to control neutral and forward.
