Rewinterize???

It was nice out this weekend so I took the boat out for the 1st time since fall...now it is supposed to get down to 32 this weekend. Do I need to rewinterize?
I keep my boat in a non heated pole barn.

All kidd'n aside, How accurate are the forcasters? Have they been right EVERY TIME?

If it could get to 32* over night could it get 5 degrees lower?

For one night I might trust a 100w light bulb. but understand, if the power goes out, the bulb fails, a critter chews the cord, a little bit of gas has leaked....Murphy does look for things JUST like that!!



I would drain the water out of the block. AIR DOESN'T FREEZE.

it would have to get below freezing and hold it longer than just a few hours.

i been following Bond-o's advise for several years now. which also happens to be mercruisers advise too. for an extended season (where temps fall below freezing overnight), drain the cooling system and know that you'll be just fine for the next outing...

fwiw, i also followed Bond-o's advise for the whole last winter. no water, no anti freeze, just air... i've been out 3 times so far this season. my block ain't cracked... because i drain it at the slightest sign of freezing temps... it's just too easy to do.. drain the water out that is....

You dont have the 2 blue drain hoses?
