when mesuring gauges do you measure on the face or the back of the old gauge? really like them teleflex sterling series gauges. removed boat side and engine side harness.and wrote down every wire on all gauges. alot of snippen old wire ties.

They are listed by mounting hole size so you want the measure the diameter at the back.
