I am planning on repowering my boat, When I do, should I get new gages, or can I just rewire the one in the dash ie: gas, temp, oil pressure etc.

All depends on if you are getting a different outboard make.

You don't need new gauges just because you change engines. The oil pressure and temperature senders from the old engine will need to be moved to the new engine. Fuel gauge and speedo have nothing to do with the engine so those are left as-is. Tach needs no attention either unless original engine was not a V8 -- then it would need to be calibrated for the new engine by setting the dial on the back of the tach.
