this may have been asked before but I have an 83 Sea nymph that has a small leak in the hull somewhere? it also needs paining. has anyone tried rhino lining on the hull? I was also thinking it may protect the keel when beaching in the rocks.
just wondering
thanks

I wouldn't due to too much resistance on the water

People do it, but it's not a recommended practice on this forum.

Your best bet would be to find the leak and repair it properly and then use Gluvit or Coat-it on the inside of your hull to prevent future leaks.

If you want a good looking tough coating to help protect the outside of your hull, you may want to consider Durabak:

Re: Rhino lining my hull ???

JNG has told you the correct way. If you RL the hull there is NO going back. My way of thinking about this is...If this stuff was a good alternative for making a boats hull better, doncha think some boat mfg would be producing a boat with this stuff on the hull originally from the factory??? I do know that some of the Bass Boat boys are taping off the bow portions of their keels and spraying it on as a sort of "Keel Guard" and it seems to be working fairly well.

that's a thought just taping off the keel and RL just the keel. hmm Ill have to think about that may help prevent rock rash on the keel. I don't know just a thought. has anyone else done it and how does it work?
