Ribs?

So drilled two holes in the bilge area , one on each side of the main stringer. I already have a hole in the floor up front where repairs have been done. I filled up that hole with water and see just a little bit come out of the hole in the bilge (on the same side of the main stringer). Is there anyway to run a drain without pulling the floor? I really want to wait until the winter before the stringers are done and the floor is redone.

First off how long did it take for water to drain after filling up forward area(you may have enough) or did it start draining when you drilled it, as far running a drain with floor in, I'll never say it's impossible, but I don't know of any way to do it you need to know where crossbraces(bulkheads) are, and that really depends on the boat

Re: Ribs?

It rained the next day and when I went to check on the boat the forward area between the deck and hull was completly overfilled with water, and the bilge had nothing. It seems there is a pretty water tight cross member that needs to be gone through. I am thinking of having a friend weld my 3/4" 2 foot auger bit onto a 10ft piece of steel and going up the drainplug. I don't think that a 3/4" hole would affect the integrity of the boat?

System F, A 12 ft drill bit is hard to steer, If your not carefull, that 3/4 inch hole could definately affect hull integrity

Re: Ribs?

I will have two holes to help keep me straight, but going through the hull is an issue I am concerned about. As it sits now the boat is too tall with the ski tower to fit in the garage, and some sort of drainage is needed. I will just have to be extra careful or my ski season will end prematurely
