Last year we got a complete carb rebuild, ran great, had it winterized, ran it for 15 minutes this year and was running great.
Then the bad news started in boat engine world. The 1972 50 hp Johnson started bogging down and we trickled back the the dock at half throttle going barely any speed. I noticed that the lean/ rich tab was completely loose and useless.
I ran Seafoam this year and had it properly winterized. What gives? Did I reclog the carbs?
Also, if it is the carbs, what's the cost of a cleaning in comparison to a rebuild typically? It has a new carb kit from last year.
