Sparkplugs do one job. Change them regular.

NGK= BZ7HS-10 gap .030

Dont waist your money on splitfire and other gimmiks.

OMC recomends Champion QL77JC4 or L77JC4 plugs, gapped at 0.040 for sustained low speed operation..

For sustained high speed use, Champion QL78V or L78V non adjustable gap plugs..

i do not wish to buy split fire ,what im after is what the oem plugs are or do they have double plainums or what? i do not agree that plugs are plugs and do the sameas other plugs,some after market plugs will work in motors but may not have the same heat from the spark and may not fire like oem .

Tim

Champion QL77JC4 are the best for your motor. A platinum plug will not nessesarily provide better spark, but it may go farther between changes. I don't know of any cross from a QL77JC4 to a platinum plug. I have no problem with the standard plugs lasting a whole season.
