Rifle Scope Repair

Anyone ever have a rifle scope repaired?

Have a 3x9 Bushnell on my 22mag and the scope has to be moving. Wish I would have thought of it sooner. Bought the scope and use to be able to hit about everything I wanted to with iron sights. Installed the scope and off and on kept trying to zero in the scope, never had so much issue. It has to be the scope is moving inside. Bushnell has a straight fee to send in and they will have a look, probably worth the try.

Just wonder if anyone has ever had a scope repaired and how it worked out

Unless it is one of the Big name brands, normally it is not worth repairing, I have tried before and things have come down so much, you will pay more for the repair than it will cost you to buy a new one. Sorry state of affairs these days when it comes to repairs.

Wish I would have figured it out earlier. Have had it for several years and just didn't shoot it that much, thought it was me. Gave it to another guy and he had same problem. Used his 22 mag and his scope ad we were dead on

AllDodge, if this scope is a typical 3 x 9 variable power 32mm setup, I would toss it and buy new. Between packaging it up, paying for shipping and then whatever they state as a repair fee, you can buy a new scope and replace it. Lots of times the cross hair reticles moves and you can prove that to yourself by changing the power setting while looking at the center of the crosshairs in the scope. Remember, it doesn't take but a mere very slight movement to throw everything off down range. I've had cheaper brand scope did that and finally made the decision to either buy Burris scopes OR Leopold brands and nothing else. The optics in those scopes are amazing. Yes they do cost a bit more, but they are rugged and reliable. I've yet have one of them change zero...ever. JMHO!

Unless it is the Elite series I would toss it. When you get the new scope get some mounts that allow you to still use the irons if you want too. Those are what I put on my 10/22.
