Hey all, it's an inline six mercruiser engine, with 165 hp. Would like to know the original propsize that installed on these boats from factory. Im asking cause the dealer installed a 19p stainless prop.
I think these props are more rigid than aluminium ones.

Re: right original prop size SilverLine Nantucket 17 v,

While there may be a typical prop for that setup the final selection would depend on what the owners typical load and/or activities were.
It's highly unlikely the factory prop was a ss.
If you do some test runs and get us your wot rpm and gps speed lightly loaded we can help tell if its a good setup.
No doubt the ss prop is "more ridged" and usually would perform better than a similar al prop.
At about 3 times the cost of al the ss would have to be amazing for my pocket book.
Do you have an issue about this prop?

Re: right original prop size SilverLine Nantucket 17 v,

not really, but i installed the ss prop, and had to fix another anode (is that the english word?) I had to install a racing anode, without the little rudder that protrudes downwards.
Otherwise the ss would have been to large in diameter. The reason im asking is because the original alu prop has an unknown size.
Its so old. And the former owner was very smart. he painted the anodes with black paint. So the prop was pretty corroded. Im using that one as a spare.
