Hi Guys,
I just purchased the Rinda Diacom PC Software V 2.9.2 Now i'm playing around to get used to it before realy needed to find a problem which hopefully never occures ;-)

Due to that my 285 Bayliner with a Merc 350 MAG MPI from 2004 is already winterized and sitting backwards on my truck with the Bravo 3 far up, i c'ant get a live data file out of the motor presently.
I scanned the ECU555 data with ignition on already and did read the Merc PCM/ECM555 manual two times ;-)
I also watched the training viedeos of Rinda on internet as well.

Is there anyone who is willing to email me a live data file to play with? I dont realy care about from what motor it is. It is to get used to the program. Next spring will get a file from my 350mpi. It will be a live data file with all rpm situations while the motor is running fine. This file will be my base file to be compared to one in future if i get troubles. I then will share if anyone is interested in.

I did ask Rinda Tech. but they do'nt have live data files as they said.

Anyone who can help me for the no boating winter time to play with?

Thanks
Oliver

Don't have the data myself, but what do you mean sitting backwards on your truck? Also your saying there is no way to move it so you can lower the drive?

I'm situated in Germany. My Bayliner is sitting with the z- drive towards the driver cabin of my 11 tonns truck. I cannot lower the bravo drive due to that it would hit the trucks frame. I have to do it this way due to rules and regulations of transportation weight and hight in europe. I am cariing the boat down to croatia once a year and to the netherlands as well.
With the bravo far up i dont like to even start the motor and i dont like to give him in this position more than 1500 rpm at all.
I'll try to put a pic into here which is self explaining. .... oh it works. A buddy of mine did take this pic with his small SMART car. I guess you dont have this small things in the US yet.

Any hint where i probably get a live Rinda data file to play with?

I'm no help on the data, buy that is one cool transport. People here in the states would probably love to see how you load and unload her.

Before this question will come up: The attachment carrier / bracket... or what ever you call it is still there. I did change the design and gave it joints which allows me do swivel the beam down. This is necessary to get a max. height of less than 4 meter above street level. (street bridge clearance in europe)

OK, the rules in europe are giving me with my 285 bayliner serveral problems. 1st the weight: She has "ready for vication" a weight of round about 3,6 tonns (3.600kg) This is too much for a trailer (not for a trailer, it is too much for a SUV in front of the trailer due to brake force limitations) I dont need a SUV in addition to my toys, i do need a fast pessenger car for my job. (3.0 Liter V6 turbo diesel 313 HP Audi A6 Quaddro giving 265 km/h on speedometer on the German Autobahn:) but this is another story ;-) 2nd she has a width of 3 meters (3.05meters but dont tell my goverment) this needs special licences, flash lights and warning plates on the vehicle to carry. In croatia i do need in addition a follow me car with flashlights... fuxx thats expensive... 3rd the hight must be less than 4 meters. The 285 on my truck with the whateve rcalled beam standing up is about 4.17meters above street level. so i made it to be flipped down. There are more thing to follow, but these are the mains.

Back to your question. The boat has to be picked up and dropped down by crane. To get a crane in europe is no problem at all. Most marina are prepared to have beside a slip track for "smaller" (not so heavy) boats on trailer a possibility to crane boats up to 10 or often more tonns.

in croatia i do get a huge "mover crane" which is most comfortable. look here:

In the netherlands i am using a standard crane to get liftet (depending on the water depth) from about 8 meters like this:

My former boat...
this is how it looks like the other way ;-)

But now back to my winter problem. Any hints to get a live data file from rinda PC software?

I understand now, yours is 8056lb and 9' 11" beam sitting backwards, what a way to haul a boat. Mine Formula 27PC is below at 10000 kb and 9' 6" beam. Sits on a 3 axle trailer with electric brakes.
Formula 2013.jpg

Hope someone can come along and help with the data.

With the drive that far up I wouldn't turn the engine over at all, U-joints could be damaged.

nice pic!!!

see a three axle trailer is a no go in europe. the rule says: two axle are allowed for a trailer used with the standard driving licence, and the max. distance between the two is 1 meter. your trailer can be used with a special truck licence (i do have it) but cannot be pulled with a standrd SUV. it takes a truck to pull... so if it takes an Truck, it is easier to place the boat on top of a truck as i do.
Elektric brakes on a trailer would give every police man and technical supervisor in europe at least 6 month of nightmare :)

Good thing I'm in the USA, electric are as acceptable up to 26000 pounds total truck and trailer. Agree there is no way I would tow the boat with an SUV, I use a 3/4 ton pick up. I had surge brakes but put electric because I have more control and I don't get into salt water. The best I think is electric over hydraulic, but these have worked great since installed and much better then hydraulic surge.

If you have no luck here on iboats then you'll want to try asking this question over on offshoreonly as there are a few more members that hangout over there vs here that have the Rinda Diacom software.
Though there are a few members here that I have seen bought this program over the years, one of iboats more frequent helpful members who has this program "I believe" is unfortunately out of town for a little while...in turn not posting as much. You'll have to be patient with this question....Plus here in the U.S, we're just going into winter time so it's even slower than normal on the forums.

Here's one old example for you, http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/g...-software.html

You've seen these videos from Rinda? http://rinda.com/training/training.htm

With the transportation rules you have over there, I guess we really shouldn't complain all that much about our state troopers over here.:D Cool setup you have there.:)

When I was young, it is one of those things my mother was red hot about. People are 'who', objects are 'that'.... It's something that just wrangles now... Sorry about being a 'grammar policeman'... No, actually I'm not... Too much texting language appearing in 'normal' writing these days... ;)

You know..... In the US..... For whatever reason customers have this mindset that if there is something wrong with the engine, if it does not run correctly, they will just rev the snot out of it in hopes that it will "clear itself up".

Sometimes it will clear up... it will clear up i.e. the pin and main bearing shelfs and being lucky the push rods only ;)

Jason, do you remeber if this file was taken with or without being in gear (in the water)? I assume that it was taken without gear in.

Again, thanks a lot! I will play around the whole weekend for sure :)

I don't remember off hand. If you play with it you should be able to figure it out. On a side note, what your seeing is for a Volvo, so when you hook yours up to your Mercrusier the data will look a bit different.
