I am new here so hopefully this isn't a silly question. I have a 2007 Mercruiser 5.0L MPI (OW632701) with an alpha drive and was considering the Rinda scan tool. I am a resonably skilled DIYer/mechanic, but just wanted some confirmation that the faults found with the Rinda would be fixable by a DIYer, like myself? I have the Mercruiser #31 manual with all basic tools. I realize that some problems may be to complex or difficult and would require a Merc mechanic, but hopefully those are few, especially on a 2007.
Are there any other reference materials that would be beneficial/required to have before working on this motor? Currently, it runs fine, but I just want to prepare myself and also run routine diags so I can gain experience and history with the motor.

Happy holidays to all
