rings for evinrude 1960 10hp

I need rings for my old 1960 10 hp evinrude .I opened the engine and the rings where stock verry hard on the pistons and I broke most of them . now I need to find some new rings I did not know those where so hard to find???Can some one help me to find rings at a resonnable price because one guy found some for 400.00$wowwwww.

You need to clean out the grooves really well first with the old pieces of ring.<br />If the pistons are scratched or scored, don't bother -get some good used ones.<br />I have had good luck going to a small engine dealer and looking for rings the same size or closer from any small engine.<br />If they're too big, file them doown so they fit.<br />Good luck
