Hello boat people,
I just picked up a 1987 Stingray SVB 192. Poor condition interior. Trying to decide how far to go with the clean-up. Priced two lounge seats and two jumpers at $550.00, but will not have all the material matching, due to side panels, bow seats, etc.. Carpet needs replaced, and wood needs refinished in a few places...things I can handle. OK, has anyone jumped in too deep and wished they would have taken a different route? is there a method to refinishing the interior without blowing the bank? Hoping there are actually people in this forum!!!!

Thanks,
gstingray

As the old saying goes.... a boat is a hole in the water you pour money into.

Seriously though, if you got a good deal on the boat 550.00 may not be too much more for a nice interior seating group regardless of the matching colors.

Also check Craigslist...there may be a guy with some seats or a boat you can get the interior out of CHEAP!!

I had an 87 Renken a few years ago and had to replace the wood on the engine bay deck. The vinyl was a little rough around the edges but I carefully removed it and then stapled it back on....Perfect? no but it worked and I was on the water.

Good Luck!
