Boating season starts next month for me here in VA and this past weekend was perfect weather to start waking up the boat. My engine is a 2002 Volvo 5.0GL / SX Leg. Exhaust components are originals. I removed my STBD riser to inspect as it's the warmer of the two. My boat runs between 160-170 depending how long I'm at full throttle. I flush well after each trip and boat mostly in Brackish water with some trips to the Chesapeake Bay. Other than some minor scale, I thought they looked pretty good. Think I can get a couple more seasons out of them? Looking for feedback good or bad. Thank you.

Re: Riser and Manifold pictures

Hard to say in those pictures. You are gong to have to get all the old gasket off and down to shiny metal to tell for sure. And with the new metal shim Volvo gaskets, they have to be flat, so be careful in how you clean them.
